Is this just another monthly subscription?

CAD or USD?
Both. Canadian companies are billed in Canadian dollars and US companies in US dollars — we default to your country and you can switch with the toggle above. You're always charged in the currency shown, with no surprise conversion fees.
What are the "extra user" charges?
Each plan includes a set number of users (Core 5, Advanced 25, Max 100). If you add people past that, each extra login is $25 CAD/month. Grow your crew and it adjusts automatically; shrink it and it drops back down.
Is there really a free trial?

No. QuickBooks Online sync is an Advanced-plan feature and completely optional — JobGantry runs your costing and billing on its own. Connect QuickBooks and posted bills and sent invoices sync with no double entry.
